Prior to joining the UN, Robert was the Executive Director in the New York Office of the United Nations Foundation. Israel’s Knesset (parliament) established Yom Hashoah, also known as Holocaust Remembrance Day, as a memorial to about six million Jewish people who were slaughtered by the Nazis between 19.
